We pick up and deliver as many prefolds as you need to diaper your baby with including any combination of newborn, infant, regular, or toddler sizes. (We provide the diapers and launder them – all you have to do is let your baby dirty them!) This is by far the most popular option. On your diaper day, all you need to do is put the bag full of soiled diapers out on your porch or other designated place. We take away the dirty diapers, and leave you a bag with fresh, clean diapers.

  • Permanently stained prefolds

Now we’re offering an option for our more cost- and/or environmentally-conscious clients. For this plan we used diapers that have been permanently stained but they have been through the same sanitizing process as our other diapers and have the same level of absorbency. Remember that since a cover needs to be used, the prefold is not visible. The amount of clients we can offer this service is, of course, based on our inventory of discolored diapers.

Prefold Rental
$27.50/ month
+$15 startup
  • Approximately 3 days worth of prefolds
  • 3 Diaper Covers

Rental of about 3 days worth of prefolds (quantity depends on size or combination of sizes needed). This is perfect if you are in between sizes or giving cloth diapering a try and highly recommended for potty training. You wash the prefolds at home.

Eco-Disposables
$50 startup
  • Weekly delivery of disposable diapers

Signing up for this plan will get you 2 packs of size 1 Bambamboos disposable diapers and a delivery whenever you need one, free of shipping fees. $20/pack. You’ll be billed only at the end of the month for all deliveries.
Bambamboos disposables are made out of, you guessed it, bamboo! These diapers will decompose in around 2 years, as opposed to regular disposables which will take hundreds and hundreds of years to do so.

Personal Diaper Wash
$60.50/ month
+$10 startup
  • Pick up and Delivery

If you have diapers of your own and don’t want to deal with the washing, let us do it for you! Keep in mind that you need two weeks’ worth of diapers – a week’s supply that you are using, and the week’s supply that we pick up and are washing.

Diaper Squad Policies

When you have a chance, please read the policies and information in this section and let us know if you have any questions or need further explanation. Now down to the good stuff…
Includes a diaper pail, a diaper liner, starter newborn diapers, trial infant diapers, a Snappi, a deodorant disc, an odor remover and three newborn covers. Please store diapers in a clean, dry, and convenient area for changing. Use the liner (blue bag) to line the diaper pail and when you start using your prefolds, clip the unwrapped deodorant disc to the lid of the pail. Typically, the newborn diapers are the best fit, even if only for a few weeks. In the event that they are too small, please contact us at 512-827-7823 right away and we will deliver more of the infant size as soon as we can. If the newborn diapers are the best size, please leave the infant ones on hand to try them on when the newborn size is fitting questionably snug. Once the infant size is the best fit, let us know. Three covers are provided at no charge. Additional covers may be leased at any time at the regular leasing rate as well.
You may begin to use the diapers whenever you are ready. It may be the first diaper on baby’s body, or a couple of weeks later if you prefer. The billing of the service will not start counting until the pickups begin. As soon as you begin to use the diapers or at least a couple of days before your route day, let us know by text/calling us at 512-827-7823 or emailing us. We will initiate your service and begin picking up diapers on the next delivery day for your area.
In the event that you forget to put your diapers out on your delivery day, we will knock softly a few times, then a bit harder. If after a few minutes there’s no answer we’ll ring the doorbell. If nobody’s home, we’ll leave your clean diapers, but please contact us to make arrangements for an extra pick up. There is a extra pickup fee. If we don’t hear from you, we’ll pick up those used diapers on your next diaper day and our extra washing policy will apply (see Extra Washing Policy section) and there will be a charge of $8.00. We DO NOT receive any dirty diapers at our office! So please do not waste your gas (an extra trip charge will still be applied if you do) just give us a call or email and we’ll schedule a time for us to come back by.
On each bag of diapers you will notice a tag with your name, the safe base amount of diapers you normally use in a really diaper busy week, a section for you to write down the amount of clean diapers you have at the moment of bringing your used diapers outside on your diaper day and a section where you can change or mix your base amounts/sizes. It is essential to fill out the information about the amount of clean diapers since it’s basic in determining the quantity you’ll receive the week after. When you start getting your diapers, we deliver the amount of diapers you request for two consecutive weeks. After each pickup, we use the information that you write down on your tag to calculate how many you currently have in home and thus how many diaper need to be delivered next week to maintain your inventory. We do this so you do not end up with an accumulation of diapers not used. For example, if you requested 80 diapers, have 14 clean left the first week you’ll receive 66 the week after. If you have 18 left that week, then you’ll receive 76 the next time. In this case, we try to keep your inventory at 80 diapers at the beginning of every diaper cycle. There may be occasions where you use a drastically different amount of diapers. Perhaps you travel out of town, your relatives are visiting, or your baby experiences an illness and you end up using less cloth diapers. If you know you won’t be needing as many as you usually do, please let us know, at least 24 hours before your delivery and we’ll make the adjustments. If at any time you want to change your requested amount or size you can make a note on the actual bag tag. Please note that this will take effect the following week since the deliveries are prepared before the route. If you need to make a change in your delivery before then, please contact our Operations crew, 512-827-7823 or email us. To ensure that changes are received in time for your delivery day, please contact us least 24 hours before the morning of your delivery day. (For Monday and Tuesday customers, please have changes in by Saturday morning.)
Invoices will be sent during the first 10 days of each month for the full upcoming month, plus or minus and fees or credits from the previous month. For example, your January invoice will include January’s service as well as fees or credits from December. If you went out of town for a week in December, January’s invoice will reflect that credit. Payment is due by the last day of the billed month. Payments can be made in the following ways:
  • Leave a check with your diapers made out to Diaper Squad in the tag (no envelope needed). Please do not put a paper envelope in or under your dirty diaper bag. Receive a free deo-disk when we pick up a check in the tag liner.
  • Contact us by phone with your credit card information. ee can keep your card on file and wait for you to contact us to charge your card. Alternatively, we can set up automatic payments where your card is charged for the amount you owe within the first 10 days of the month (you will be emailed a copy of your paid invoice).
  • Send payment via PayPal using the following address: billing@diapersquad.com (be sure to include your contact information).
  • Mail a check to: The Diaper Squad, PO Box 41334, Austin, TX 78704 There’s a grace period of 10 days after payment for your month’s bill is due. After that there’s a $10 charge and $1.5 for each day your invoice doesn’t get covered If we have not received payment after two months, we will have to cancel your service :'(
  • If you will be out of town and want to skip a delivery, we are happy to hold your service. You will receive a credit for any week we do not need to make a trip to your home for delivery or pickup. The easiest way to earn this credit is to not use any diapers between your last drop off and your departure. If you are leaving less than 48 hours prior to your delivery day you can leave your dirties out for regular pickup by putting them in a cool, shaded location (if it is not obvious, please notify us). You’ll be credited 25% of a week’s worth. If you are out of town more than that week, any following weeks will be credited to your account. If you leave town after your diaper day, long enough to miss the next delivery day, please make sure to spray the stain and odor remover on all prefolds during the days before your trip. Please do not keep dirty diapers an extra week to earn the credit. You will come home to a smelly home and the diapers will need a lot of extra cleaning. If you do keep the dirties longer than a week our extra washing policy will apply (see Extra Washing section).
We understand that sometimes in the course of parenting, you might need to take a break from using the service, for whatever reason, it’s all good. We are happy to suspend your service for a couple of weeks or even a month. You hang on to your diapering supplies, just return all prefolds.
Diaper Squad does not require any contracts, so you are free to cancel at any point. We do, however, require at least two days notice of your cancellation because we set our inventory in advance. If you don’t contact us to cancel within this period, you will most likely receive one more regular pick up/drop off and then your final pickup and/or you may still be charged for that week for no notice or last minute notices. Please have all your clean and dirty diapers, supplies, and any rented items out on your final pickup day. We will send you an invoice for any amount due or refund you if you already made a payment. If you’ve received your setup materials and have decided not to use our services and want to cancel, you will be charged only the setup fee as along as no materials were used. If you have remaining money in your account, you can receive a refund minus 20%. After we have picked everything up, refunds will be issued via check and may take 4-8 weeks. If you have a large amount of credit leftover, we may have to break up your refund in installments. Still waiting on your refund? We greatly appreciate your patience and will send it to you ASAP!

Always be sure baby is secured and in a safe changing area. Remove soiled diaper. Make a stinky face. Lay cover out for air circulation. If soiled with poo, spot clean and air dry or wash. If just damp, rinse the damped area in the sink, this cover may be used again for a future diaper change before washing. Wipe baby clean. Blow a raspberry on her tummy or giggle and teach her the alphabet. Make sure baby’s skin is completely dry. Put new diaper and cover on. Make sure baby is in safe area. Do not leave him on changing table unsupervised! If soiled diaper had solid poop, shake it into toilet. Whatever does not come off easily can go into the diaper pail. This is not necessary for diapers with liquid/breastfed poop and pee diapers. Disposable liners, fleece liners, and the mini-shower are available to make this fast and easy. Please don’t put the disposable liners along with the prefolds. If you have access to diaper liners, we would appreciate you using them during the first few days, when your baby is passing meconium. Put diaper into lined diaper pail. Please no plastic bags! Pat yourself on the back for keeping another diaper out of the landfill!
Please remember to have your dirty diapers out by the time showed on your welcoming brochure. You may take out just the liner (bag) or the entire pail – whichever is easier for you. The bag/pail should be placed in a shaded, covered, visible area. Please no plastic bags for the dirties. If there is not an ideal area that is obvious, just let us know of an appropriate place. If you would like to receive an additional liner to use during the delivery day (to hold the diapers that are dirtied while your bag of dirties is outside), you may rent one for a minimal charge. Another common option is to purchase a portable wet bag (small liner) which holds about six diapers, depending on the size. These are also handy for the diaper bag for cloth diapering when you are out and about.
Diaper rash creams/ointments that contain petroleum, petrolatum, or fish oil should not come into contact with the cloth diapers. These products cause irreversible damage and most common creams contain these, so please check the label carefully. If you need to use a product with these ingredients, please use a flushable, fleece, or silk liner over the diaper. If you do not line your diapers while using one of these products our extra washing policy will apply (see Extra Washing section). Liners are available for purchase. Typically, diaper creams available at natural food stores do not include these products and zinc oxide is usually safe for cloth diapers. As mentioned earlier, it is important to make sure your baby’s skin stays as dry as possible. This means putting the new diaper on only once the skin has dried from cleansing and changing the diaper as soon after a wetting as possible. If you find you need to go longer between diaper changes, you might consider a doubler or fleece liner, which wick the moisture from your baby’s skin. Please note that suggestions do not constitute professional medical advice. Please contact your health care provider regarding caring for a diaper rash. *For our prefolds: please no pins (use snappi); no cutting the prefolds to fit; please do not use prefolds as cleaning rags.
There are four situations which require us to treat, soak, and wash the diapers many extra times:
  • use of unsuitable diaper rash creams
  • solid fecal matter left in the diapers
  • diapers used as rags
  • dirty diapers left longer than one week. Since we stay away from the use harsh chemicals in our washing routine, we must go to great lengths to ensure the diapers meet strict sanitation standards. This requires the use of more cleaning supplies and creates longer hours for our employees, plus the diapers are out of circulation during this time. For these reasons, we will charge $8 each time your diapers need to go through this additional intensive cleaning. We understand that you are busy parents so if we spot an issue, will give you one reminder, but each time after that will incur the charge.
  • If you are experiencing smell issues, here are some great solutions that many customers have found helpful:
  • Deo-disc: You’d receive one per month are of no charge to you if you make payment with checks. If you want one or more please let us know and we will include one in with your next delivery for a minimal charge. Deo-discs are citrus based deodorizers used to combat smell from the diaper pail, you can affix it to the lid of the pail.
  • Tea tree oil: A few drops of tea tree oil may be sprinkled onto a washcloth (or other absorbent cloth) and clipped to the lid of the pail. You can also sprinkle a drop in the pail every few diapers. Using it the same way, you can also try baking soda.
  • Odor-eating enzymes: The most helpful solution is to prevent the flourishing of the odor-causing bacteria.
  • BioKleen Bac-out and Ecos Odor Remover are both natural enzymes that decompose the bacteria in the diaper pail. Just spray a few times on the dirty diaper before tossing it into the pail, and the pail will produce much less odor.
  • Additional liner: Some people prefer to have two diapering areas – one in the changing area, and one in a less visited area of the house. You may rent an additional pail and liner or just an additional liner, if desired. We have also has a selection of wet bags that are popular for the changing area (no pail is necessary – the bag hangs on a doorknob or changing station post). Each night or morning or whenever the smell begins to reach you, you can empty your changing area collection into your smelly collection.
  • Biodegradable/disposable liners: If your baby is eating solids, s/he is probably producing a less angelic bowel movement. These liners can be placed over the diaper before use. After removing the soiled diaper, turn the diaper poop-side down over a trash can. The liner and its treasure will fall into the trash where it will decompose, you can also flush it down if your pipelines are not too old.
  • Diaper Sprayer: This handy tool may seem like it is from an episode of Inspector Gadget. Similar in structure to a vegetable sprayer, this handy tool very easily connects to the toilet plumbing. It is used to spray solid feces into the toilet. And, by the way, it can save a lot of toilet paper since you can use it as a bidet 🙂
  • If you recommend our service to a friend and he or she signs up we will credit you two weeks of service. Just remind them to let us know you referred them!
